East Doncaster Principal Chiropractor - Yvette McPherson

Chiropractic is Yvette McPherson's passion. A passion which took her some time to find! Here is her story!
After completing Secondary school Yvette spent a year in Germany as a Rotary Exchange student. During that time she had the good fortune of meeting a number of people who were absolutely passionate about their chosen professions. It was during this year that she decided to turn down her law economics university placement offer and defer tertiary study until she found HER passion.
Over the next few years it became apparent that natural medicine was her field but it wasn't until she returned to her home town in South Australia and began working with a local chiropractor that she really knew! She saw miracles! She had found it!
But there was a problem
She did not have the year 12 science subjects required for entry to Chiropractic College. She was a humanities student not a science student! So at age 24 Yvette returned to a local secondary school with the year 12 students and successfully completed the year 12 Chemistry, Physics and Biology she needed to follow her passion.
"One of the most exciting days of my life was when I was notified that I had been accepted into the School of Chiropractic at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology" recalls Yvette fondly! "It still brings a tear to my eye!"
In 1986 Yvette began the five year journey to becoming a chiropractor!
This humanities student successfully completed courses in biophysics, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, embryology, physiology and anatomy. Needless to say she lived for the chiropractic philosophy and technique classes. Yvette graduated from RMIT in 1990 with a large sigh of relief and began practice at DCC as an associate.
She loved the practice so much she eventually went on to purchase it.

20 years later she is still at Donvale and as passionate as ever! "I love helping my patients to really understand how wonderful and miraculous their bodies are. I love empowering them to be able to make more informed health decisions and I love seeing the difference chiropractic can make in their lives" says Yvette! "It is very Exciting!"
Donvale Chiropractic Centre is a Family Practice
"DCC is a family practice and it's fun! We encourage you to look after the health of your entire family from new babies to the elderly and we use modern gentle techniques that are suitable for all! No family member is exempt!" says Yvette with a large grin! Check out the photo of her adjusting Buster!
Although Yvette is highly qualified to adjust the human species her experience with the animal kingdom is limited. But desperate situations require desperate means and at DCC the entire team are committed to doing whatever it takes to enhance the quality of your family life. Chiropractic certainly made a BIG difference to Buster's life!
